Story/ News Article/ Opinion Article submission GUIDELINESDiversityVillage.com was founded with the purpose of telling the stories of the LGBT community and our allies. Many of these stories cannot be found through mainstream media, so we are asking the community to let us know what is going on in your part of the world. We want to give all the storytellers a chance to get their message out there. You must be a member of the Village to submit your story.* Appropriate content may include: • News • Book Reviews • Entertainment • Travel • Politics • Movie Reviews • Theater Reviews • Music Reviews • Sports • Family • Marriage • Parenting • Personal stories of triumph or struggle *DiversityVillage.com reserves the right to refuse submitted content. Examples of content not permitted include: adult content, content that contains profanity, content that defames a private citizen or any other content that is considered to be in bad taste. *DiversityVillage.com will not change any submitted content. If the content is unacceptable for the reasons listed above, it will be returned to the writer. Submissions will not be corrected for grammar or spelling, but instead will be returned to the writer to correct grammar or spelling errors. From time to time, DiversityVIllage.com will put out a request for stories on specific topics such as Pride Festivities, important changes in our lives due to legislation, etc. Acceptable formats for text include: • .doc • .pdf • . txt • .rtf File size restriction 5mb Acceptable formats for photos/graphics include: • . jpg • .gif • .bmp • .png • .pdf File size restriction 5mb Once your content is received, you will be notified via email stating if your story has been accepted and when it will be posted.
